Mark has over 20 years of financial services and investment experience working with institutions, corporations and individuals. Mark greatly enjoys his role in helping people develop finer lives by solving financial problems and obstacles and getting their financial household in good order.
Prior to joining Financial Independence, Mark was a Vice President with MFS Investment Management, with a focus on institutional investments and relationship management for senior MFS relationships. Mark earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2007, studying at the College for Financial Planning. The CFP®certification requires passing five core curriculum tests in Estate Planning, Taxes, Retirement Plans, Investments, and Insurance and Planning, as well as an integrated ten hour final exam. In 1993, Mark received his M.B.A with a concentration in finance from Boston College and a B.A. from Clark University in 1985.
Mark resides in Franklin, MA and enjoys spending time with his wife, Patty, and his three daughters, Sara, Emily and Abby. Mark also enjoys volunteering, sports, coaching his kids, and is an active participant in regional running races.
