As Office Manager, Steve’s primary responsibilities are in the areas of human resource management, documenting systems and workflow, and implementing organizational strategies. In addition he is responsible for all marketing initiatives, office technology, and client events and communications with a perennial focus on providing clients an exceptional experience beyond their financial planning and investment activities. This position also relieves Rick and Mark of many of the “operational” aspects of the business so they can focus on what’s important to our clients – their financial independence. Steve is also a client so he brings a unique perspective to the work he does at Financial Independence.

Steve graduated from UMass Lowell with a BS in Mathematics and a Master’s in Education. He started his career in educational publishing and then transitioned to the high tech industry where he has over 25 years of business experience. When he isn’t working, you can find him focused on projects around the house, hiking in the mountains of New England, or sailing on Narragansett Bay. Married with two grown children, his family remains his top priority.
